Monday Session – "Being a Successful FERC 3rd Party Contractor" Special Session

On Monday, August 7, 2017 FERC staff will present a ½ day session on “Being a Successful FERC 3rd Party Contractor”.  This session will assist contractors in navigating the different steps to complete while managing staff expectations throughout the NEPA review process.  Prospective and current 3rd Party Contractors will also receive tips and advice to improve work products and increase the efficiency of staff’s review. 

This session will cover:

-          How to become a 3rd-Party Contractor and the RFP/Proposal Process;
-          Overview of the NEPA review process interwoven with expectations and deliverables to be prepared by 3rd-Party Contractors;      
-          Coordinating with FERC staff;
-          Tracking and responding to comments;
-          Development of schedules;
-          Format of deliverables;
-          Communication with FERC staff, other agencies, and the applicant; and
-          Brief overview of the 3rd-Party Compliance Monitoring Program

Tuesday – Thursday Session August 8-10, 2017 - Environmental Review and Compliance for Natural Gas Facilities Seminar

This three day interactive Seminar will describe how to successfully navigate the FERC process from project concept to post-construction monitoring.  The first part of the Seminar will step you through the regulations and environmental analysis of a pipeline project focusing on Pre-filing, environmental report preparation, and the FERC Application processes.  The second part of the Seminar will include a brief introduction to pipeline construction for industry newcomers, a discussion of pre-construction preparation considerations and a review of the baseline mitigation measures for pipeline construction and restoration that are detailed in the FERC Upland Erosion Control, Revegetation, and Maintenance Plan and the FERC Wetland and Waterbody Construction and Mitigation Procedures.
